Many customers choose one of these items for their easy install, multi-vehicle compatibility, and reliable performance.

Most mobile radios with a standard U-shaped bracket are compatible (most likely your radio came with this style of bracket, but some radio manufacturers do not include them with every radio—for example, the ICOM IC-2730A bracket must be purchased separately).

SKYMO radio mounts feature two slots to secure the bracket that came with your radio, and the necessary hardware is included for easy installation.

We have yet to receive feedback that a mobile radio has been too big or too heavy for these mounts. In fact, many customers secure multiple radios to a single mount without issue.

Most SKYMO mounts incorporate a 3D printed component, made from ABS plastic with 100% solid infill — that means they’re completely solid throughout. You will find that the parts are strong, durable, and built to last.

Each printed part goes through its own journey on the printer and in post-processing. As such, you may see artifacts from the printing process if you inspect your part closely. See if you can spot the layer lines! 3D printing is an incredible process and it’s worth looking the part over and marveling at what it can do.

In most cases, you will just need a Phillips head screwdriver and a 3/8 wrench (or ratchet and 3/8 socket). These tools are used on the hardware that secures your radio bracket to the SKYMO mounting plate.

You also need a 5/32 Allen wrench, but one is included with your purchase.

If you purchase an Adjustable Radio Mount, you will also need a 1/2" socket to tighten the bolts that clamp the two parts together.
