Fitment Notes

Because the Dual Radio Mounting Plate is significantly wider than our standard Single Radio Mounting Plate, we strongly recommend measuring your intended installation area before purchase.

While this plate can physically bolt to nearly all SKYMO radio mounts, vehicle space constraints may affect fitment. The Dual Radio Mounting Plate requires 15 inches of horizontal clearance, extending approximately 7.5 inches to each side of the mount base centerline.

Please ensure the location where your mount will be installed provides adequate clearance for this larger mounting plate.

Description

The Dual Radio Mounting Plate is an upgrade that replaces the standard Single Radio Mounting Plate included with most SKYMO radio mounts, allowing you to mount two radios side by side.

• Wide enough to accommodate most two-radio setups.
• Secured to the mount base with four bolts for greater stability.
• Features additional mounting slots for greater flexibility - mount your radios at different heights, for example.
• Retains the same height adjustability features as the standard mounting plate.
• Includes hardware to mount two radio brackets.

The dual mounting plate components are made from 14 gauge, powder coated steel.

This upgraded mounting plate will bolt to most SKYMO radio mount bases. The notable exception is the dashboard radio mount, part number 20128A, which does not use this style of mounting plate and is not compatible with this upgrade.

Getting Started

Watch the video below for a quick walkthrough of what you need to know to get started with the upgraded mounting plate.

To install:

1. Use the 1/4” hardware ((4) button head cap screws, (4) square nuts, (4) washers) to secure the Dual Radio Mounting Plate to the Mount Base at your desired height.
2. Use the #10 hardware ((4) screws, (4) lock nuts, (8) washers) to bolt the Anti-Vibration Bar and your OEM radio brackets that came with your radios to the Dual Radio Mounting Plate.
3. Install your radios on the OEM radio brackets.
4. Follow the instructions for your specific radio mount base to install it in your vehicle.

Note: If you’re using this mounting plate to mount a single radio, it is recommended to center it on the mounting plate so the whole assembly remains balanced.
