Fitment Notes

This radio mount fits select 2014-2019 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks that have the split bench seat and flip-up center console with 3 cup holders, as shown in the product photos. This version of the flip-up center console is found in the following models:

  • 2014-2019.5 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 (only the 3-cup holder version)
  • 2014-2019 Silverado 2500 and Sierra 2500
  • 2014-2019 Silverado 3500 and Sierra 3500

To ensure proper fitment, make sure your console and cup holders match what is shown in the photos exactly - it should have three cup holders and the center seat should flip up.

Description

If you've been looking for how to install a CB radio, ham radio, GMRS radio, scanner, or other two-way radio in your Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra, this is a great option. The mount is easily removable if you want the radio out of the way, but it maintains a strong connection to the console when in use.

The Mounting Plate is 14 gauge steel, powder-coated black. The Mount Base is a 3D printed part made of ABS.

Getting Started

Watch the video below for a quick walkthrough of what you need to know to get started with your new radio mount.

To use the radio mount:

  1. Use the 1/4” hardware ((2) button head cap screws, (2) square nuts, (2) washers) to secure the Mounting Plate to the Mount Base at your desired height.
  2. Use the #10 hardware ((2) screws, (2) lock nuts, (4) washers) to bolt your OEM radio bracket that came with your radio to the Mounting Plate.
  3. Install your radio on the OEM radio bracket.
  4. Press the mount onto your center console cup holder. The mount fits on any of the three cup holders.

Installation is easy and no hardware or drilling is required to attach the Mount Base to the console.

Solid mounting solution!

I’m trying to keep the center floor area clear so a radio case was not the desire but having the Amateur HF radio in the Silverado was the goal. This mount became the perfect answer! I had to make a bracket for the radio to attach to the metal plate that came with the mount. Some cuts and bands later, radio installed! I like the cup clip, it’s solid!

Mounting bracket

Package only contained half the necessary brackets with no screws to mount the radio with, wound up spending the money for additional mounting parts to make work, cost to make workable unacceptable

Hi Faron, from our follow-up, it sounds like your order arrived with everything as advertised, but you expected it to include a radio bracket as well. Those brackets are radio-specific and not included with our mounts. Typically the radio bracket is included with the radio itself, though some manufacturers do make you purchase it separately.

I was a little concerned that the rig (Yaesu V-9000) was too long to fit in front of the seat bottom, but when it was installed everything worked fine. There is enough clearance so that it is not rubbing on the seat. The parts and material seem to be all quality parts. Very well done. I wonder if a HF rig like a FT891 would have clearance issues. Perhaps I will have an opportunity to try it one day.
I have not had a chance to try out the tail gate mount yet but it looks like it will work just fine.

Ok, but not great

The mounting system takes up more space than expected and makes the cup-holder it's installed in almost useless.

2015 Silverado Radio Mount

Product works. Wish it had a tilt option. The face of my Icom 2720 radio currently sits horizontally. I will half to devise a adapter plate to tilt it to 45 degrees for better viewing.

Radio mount

Receive this in the mail, put it together and install my icon 2010 radio onto it slip it into the center cupholder fits as described. The quality of the merchandise is excellent. I’ve only had it in the truck a few days so far but I am very, very, very pleased with it.
